Pooja (or Puja) is a Hindu ritual of worship, offering devotion, honor, and homage to one or more
deities, often involving symbolic offerings like flowers, light, incense, and food to a deity’s image
(murti) or symbol, treating the divine as a revered guest to seek blessings, express gratitude,
and foster a spiritual connection, commonly performed daily at home or in temples, and also to
commemorate life events or new beginnings.
